Community Coalition Links
The members of the Coalition for Family and Children’s Services in Iowa (Coalition) help millions of children and their families every day through mission-driven organizations dedicated to providing the services that children and families need.
Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Services are evidence-based community projects to ensure the health and wellness of Iowa’s young people. These projects may focus on different types of relationships with community members that will increase the life skills and experiences of youth.
People turn to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs
(ATOD) to deal with stress, peer pressure, pain or to help them feel good. Prevention gives people, particularly youth, the chance to learn how to cope with their complicated day-to-day lives without using these substances.
To have a future impact on our youth and communities, we provide a guide to engage people to model and promote healthy behaviors.
